Drew Hudel, '82, passed away on November 1, 2017 and will be laid to rest on Wednesday, November 8, 2017. Services will be conducted at Colonial Funeral Home in Leesburg, VA. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service from 11:00 am until time of the service at the funeral home. Burial will be at Union Cemetery in Leesburg, VA. Memorial contributions may be made to Samaritan's Purse or Cornerstone Chaper in Leesburg, VA.
Drew was a 1978 Summerville, SC High School graduate, and a 1982 graduate of the Citadel, where he was an academic officer in Kilo Company, was in the honor corp, played rugby, and obtained a B.S. degree in Civil Engineering. He was commissioned into the Air Force upon graduation as a Second Lieutenant and served until 1986 at Reese Air Force Base in Lubbock, Texas with the rank of Captain. Drew was the principal of Paragon Engineering, Inc. from the year 2000 to the present with offices in Leesburg, VA and Hawthorne, NY.
