Outstanding Alumni Contributions to Service Learning and Civic Engagement 

The unsung heroes of many of The Citadel’s Service Learning and Civic Engagement (SLCE) programming are alumni whose sustained contributions behind the scenes have helped our programs grow and flourish. Bruce Alexander has received this award not only because he has contributed with financial support, but also because he has stepped up as a role model, mentor, and reflection leader for students just discovering their callings in community engagement. Bruce has led from the front and has engaged fellow alumni and business leaders in the cause of SLCE as well. We salute Bruce as a living example of life-long community engagement, and thank him for his service and support.
