Join alumni and friends on Saturday, November 14, 2026 as we gather to cheer on The Citadel Bulldogs in the Military Classic of the South against VMI. The kick-off is at 12:30 PM.
Hosted by The Citadel Club of Greater Washington, D.C. (CCGW), RVA Citadel Club, Roanoake Citadel Alumni Club, Hampton Roads Citadel Club, and The Citadel Alumni Association (CAA), this alumni tailgate will be a great opportunity to reconnect with members of the Long Gray Line, enjoy pregame fellowship, and show your support for The Citadel.
Tailgate Details
Tailgate lunch packages are available for $25 per person until October 31, offering a choice of sandwiches with chips, plus complimentary snacks, desserts, and beverages (water and soda). Late registrations will incur a $5 fee, with late registration closing on Saturday, November 7. Additionally, lunches for children age 13 and under can be purchased for $15 during checkout. Please note that all tailgate packages must be purchased online in advance, as they will not be available on the morning of the event. See Tailgate Food Options for more detail.
Gameday Parking
Limited parking spaces are available at the North Hill Institute Parking Lot, the site of the tailgate. Parking passes can be purchased for $40 during checkout and will. be emailed to you. A tailgate meal is not required to buy a parking pass. For additional game day parking information, please visit: VMI Game Day Parking
Game Tickets
General admission game tickets can be purchased online directly from VMI by visiting: VMI Ticketing. Your tailgate package does NOT include game tickets. The visiting team’s general admission seating is located on the north side of the stadium, adjacent to North Main Street. Each ticket costs $32.

Hotel Information
Hotel options in Lexington, VA are limited. Rooms are available on Friday and/or Saturday nights at the Spark by Hilton, 2814 N Lee Hwy, Lexington, VA 24450.
For Citadel Alumni and Friends, a block of 45 rooms are available at a special group rate of $200 per night.

We will informally rally at the Outpost Tap Room & Kitchen. The Outpost is part of Devils Backbone Brewery Company.
